SANTO DOMINGO (Licey.com).- Yermín Mercedes disparó su cuarto jonrón en Clase A avanzada y quinto del año, Carlos Polanco se anotó su tercera victoria, Wander  Suero su noveno salvado y Miguel Gómez elevó a 11 una cadena de juegos con hits durante la jornada del lunes 29 de mayo en las Ligas Menores, entre Doble A y Clase A, en tres circuitos de los cuales no hubo partidos.
Mercedes sacudió cuadrangular en cinco oportunidades (Ave .220), impulsó dos carreras (14) con Frederick (Baltimore), que fue apaleado 13-4 por el visitante Buies Creek (Houston) en la Liga de Carolina, Clase A avanzada. Actuó de receptor y tercer bate. Había pegado un vuelacerca cuando fue subido el Bowie (Este), con el que disputó 12 cotejos y bateó .295 (44-13).
Carlos Polanco relevó perfecta la octava entrada para anotarse su tercera victoria (3-3) con Lancaster (Colorado), que en su casa ganó fiesta de palos 11-7 al Inland Empire (LA Angels) en la Liga de California (A avanzada). De los tres que enfrentó el derecho de 23 años de San Pedro de Macorís, dos fueron con rolatas, un ponche, realizó 11 pitcheos, siete strikes.
Wander Suero metió en su saco su noveno juego salvado para Harrisburg (Washington), que en su estadio venció por la mínima (1-0 carrera) al Richmond (San Francisco) en la Liga del Este (AA), ante 3,089 aficionados. En la novena entrada no permitió hit, dio dos bases por bolas, ponchó uno, retiró de uno con rolata y elevado, realizó 18 lanzamientos, ocho strikes.
El derecho de Sabana Larga, 24 años, ha visto acción en 17 partidos, 22.0 entradas, 18 hits, cinco carreras limpias para efectividad de 2.05, cinco boletos y 22 ponches. En las últimas 10 presentaciones solo ha tolerado una vuelta en 11.0 innings (EFE 0.82), solo dos transferencias y 14 ponchados.
Por Richmond, el segunda base y tercer bate Miguel Gómez bateó uno de los tres hits (4-1) y su average está en .335. Alargó su racha a 11 juegos corridos con hits.
Edison Frías logró su primer hold (mantuvo ventaja), pero a un alto costo de su efectividad (5.79), al tolerar dos carreras limpias a base de un hit y una base por bolas concedidos en 0.1 (un tercio) de entrada en victoria 6-5 de Hartford (Seattle) en Binghamton (NY Mets) en la Liga del Este (AA).
El antesalista Wander Franco hilvanó su cuarto juego con hit y séptimo de ocho al fletar de 5-1 (.249), una vuelta anotada (13) en revés 3-2 de Wilmington (Kansas City) como local frente a Potomac (Washington) en la Liga de Carolina (A avanzada).
