SANTO DOMINGO (Licey.com).- Roldani Baldwin bateó un doble en su única oportunidad en el Juego de Estrellas de la Liga del Atlántico Sur, Clase A y que culminó con un empate a 3 carreras entre los estelares de la División Norte contra los del Sur y que fue recortado a siete entradas.
El receptor nativo de Puerto Plata y del Greenville Drive (Medias Rojas de Boston), entró como bateador emergente en lugar del designado por las Estrellas del Sur, con dos outs y bases limpias, en el cierre del séptimo. Soltó una línea de doble mérito por el jardín izquierdo.
El portento de 21 años 5’11” de estatura 175 libras, de los Tigres del Licey, fue el penúltimo bateador del partido que tuvo duración de 2:00 horas y fue observado por 4,012 aficionados en el Spirit Communications Park, de Columbia, sucursal de los Mets de Nueva York.
Bateador derecho, seleccionado por los campeones nacionales en la ronda 11 del Sorteo de Novatos de 2016, Baldwin encamina una buena temporada ofensiva, con promedio de .286, por 49 hits en 172 turnos y 45 partidos disputados.
Acumula 16 dobles, ocho cuadrangulares y un triple, 34 carreras impulsadas, 24 anotadas, ocho bases por bolas recibidas, porcentaje de embasarse de .315, de bases alcanzadas (SLG .529), OBP de .844 y se ha ponchado en 35 ocasiones. En sus últimos diez partidos batea .436, por sus 17 hits en 39 chances, con seis remolques y cinco anotaciones.
